Nasa's Instrumental Version of Lobotomy Music OUT NOW

In June, Short Fuze & Nasa released the epic LP "Lobotomy Music".  It's gotten great reviews from across the net.  Some even comparing it to Soundbombing 2 and many other classic releases.  It's heavy praise indeed across the board and we're thankful for it.  If you haven't, check this album out.  It's available in our store, on Itunes and more.

Now, we present the highly requested Instrumental Version of Lobotomy Music, entirely made up of beats by Nasa.  Grab it now, exclusively ONLY in our online store (available on Itunes and world wide August 17th).

Nasa is busy these days, yet another Instrumental project from him is going to be dropping in a few weeks called "The Iomega Years".  It will feature unreleased beats from each year of his producing career starting in 1999.  Iomega Years will be released exclusively on Bandcamp as a "pay as you wish" release (aka FREE), so stay tuned for that.

As far as the rest of 2010 goes, Uncommon has a lot more planned including:

Free* Remixes from 11:00A.M. due in August

Transit from Kitchen Khemistry, you'll hear a lot more about this, coming in the Fall.

Dark Weapons (from Mars) from Adam Warlock

Doomsday Device single from Short Fuze & Nasa (featuring some LP remixes and an exclusive non-LP track)

More, trust us.

Listener's POV

Short Fuze did something really cool over at Chi Mil's Website when he sat down to interview a long time listener and supporter of Uncommon Records and Underground Hip-Hop as a whole, Jerome Dickens.  It's really interesting to read an interview with someone that really has a true sense for the history of independent hip-hop, you can learn a lot more from someone like that then from most so-called "underground artists" these days.  Lots of talk of Uncommon, Wastelands and the NYC Indie scene for you.  Check out the interview here.
