The Presence and More in Brooklyn on August 7th!

That's right folks, your favorite crew called Uncommon is going to be performing at the very unique venue called "Monkeytown".  You'll see The Presence, Teddy Faley, L.I.F.E. Long, Phenetiks and Evolucid as well as DJ sets from Dyllemma.  The show is only 5 bucks to get in, so there's really not a better way to spend your Friday night.  Another classic Underground NYC night is sure to be had.  Monkeytown is also a full service restaurant where you can eat while you watch the acts perform.  The crowd actually surrounds the artists making for a really unique experience.  Check the pics of the venue below.  The first 30 people there get a copy of "We Are Vol. 1- Uncommon Records Compilation" for FREE! 

                                       

Nasa DJs Podcast and Scribes Blog for Cool Eh Mag

Nasa has recorded an exclusive mix for Cool Eh Magazine. It's called "Busted in a Train Yard, I was Caught With this Mix" (Dedicated to Iz the Wiz). The inspiration for the track selection was that all the tracks seem like the kind of joints that heads could get some good painting in with while on in the background. They range from Uncommon Joints, Old School Stuff to Progressive and Psychedlic Rock all mixed and matched together for 60 minutes! The track list is below.

Uncommon Burners Blog Launches

A brand new blog has been launched by Uncommon Records called "Uncommon Burners".  It will feature regular posts of audio and video from Uncommon artists and friends.  It's built on the Tumblr platform.  If your on Tumblr please follow us there.  You can also find out about every upload on the "Uncommon Burners" Tumblr site by following the Uncommon Records Twitter page which is automatically updated with the Tumblr material as well.  You can look forward to hearing things like the "Slept On Uncommon Track of the Day", the "Uncommon Posse Cut of the Day", "Uncommon Instrumental of the Day", etc.  Another cool way to keep up with Uncommon's catalog.  Links to make purchases of full lengths will also be provided on the site.  Check it out by visiting www.uncommonrecords.tumblr.com.

GROUP

Uncommon Records is proud to announce the formation of "GROUP". It's a brand new project that will bring together the talents of many of your favorite Uncommon Emcees, Producers and Collaborators! This is a full length album based on the 2 previous "G8" tracks that have already been released. This will be a full length posse cut LP and the best part of the whole thing is that this LP will be FREE to the public. This won't simply be a compilation, every track will feature several emcees collaborating together creating original tracks over fresh beats from a heavy roster of producers. No track will feature less then 4 emcees on it.  Below you will find the list of emcees & producers involved in the project, expect it within the next 6-8 months with leaks before then of course.
