Uncommon Records proudly presents Lead Breakfast from Aeon Grey.  This opus took 7 years to complete and we think you can hear every iota of that meticulousness in this record.  It features jarring imagery represented by Aeon's counter culture lyrics as well as by blaring live playing that will rip you apart, only to rebuild you once again.  

You should already be familiar with Aeon from his work with Midwest Indie Hip-Hop icons, Maxilla Blue and his involvement with his self crafted label, Central Standard.  Now he takes his forward looking sound of ear piercing arrangements to Uncommon Records to take part fully in the Progressive Hip-Hop movement.

Lead Breakfast is the lasting anti-authority statement that will blast in the headphones of unfortunate drone cultures for decades to come.  It's a sonic achievement and something only Aeon Grey could create.

New Aeon Grey track from Uncommon Burners 2

On January 22nd, 2013 we'll be releasing Uncommon Burners 2 which will feature the entire roster of Uncommon and celebrate Uncommon's history, our artists and our dedicated fan base better known as the Orange Army.  The CD version will include a gate fold cover, dual full color poster, 16 tracks and a limited edition "Uncommon America" T Shirt.  Now, we present the lead single from the compilation, Milk & Bullets, from Aeon Grey.  Aeon Grey has been putting out standard breaking albums with his own label Central Standard going back several years, but he now joins forces with Uncommon for his debut Uncommon release, Lead Breakfast which is due in February.  Available on 1/22/13, UB2 will also feature Uncommon vets like Adam Warlock, Short Fuze, Taiyamo Denku, Atari Blitzkrieg, Pruven, Agartha Audio and more as well as cameos from Billy Woods and Prince Po.

Uncommon Burners 2 Scheduled for January release : Dual Poster and T Shirt included / Free Online version

Uncommon Burners 2 will arrive in January and will be stacked with the best that Uncommon has had to offer over the course of the past 2-3 years.  The disc will come in gate fold packaging and will include a dual sided poster with original artwork.  It will also be offered as a package with the brand new Uncommon America T Shirt design.  This release is a celebratory one for the Orange Army supporters and all of our artists that have helped build our discography.  There will also be an online EP length version FREE for download.  The disc will be a true collectors item, pre orders will begin very soon and it will include tracks from our entire active roster, some of which will not have been previously released.  This album will kick off our 2013 schedule which will start with Aeon Grey's Lead Breakfast, Atari Blitzkrieg's Technicolor Crime Scenes and Adam Warlock's Land of the Way It Is.

Adam Warlock and Aeon Grey both on new LP from Black-Tokyo

Producer, Black-Tokyo, just released his B.L.A.C.K.T.O.K.Y.O. Lp and collaborated with two Uncommon emcees in Adam Warlock and Aeon Grey.  Aeon's track sets off the album while Adam's comes toward it's close with a focus on the hypocracy involved in the management of natural disasters.  The album's contributions from all involved are really strong and make for a cohesive album which is the first from Tokyo that entirely features emcee collaborations.  Keep an ear out for more work between Black-Tokyo and Adam Warlock, they are starting work on a full length together called The Last Angry Man that should be completed in 2013.

Aeon Grey Drops an Instrumental Collection, "Dust Collectors, Vol. 1"

Aeon Grey kicked off his Dust Collectors beat series with Vol. 1 recently.  In Aeon's own words about the series, "The sample based production is an homage to the digging culture and in a way a tribute to the amazing music that existed before myself".  This will serve as a great primer to Aeon's upcoming self produced Uncommon debut, Lead Breakfast, due later this year.
