Uncommon Radio's Gang Starr & Guru Tribute

Nasa and Cirrus Minor hosted a special episode of Uncommon Radio dedicated to the legacy of Gang Starr.  The episode was recorded before the horrible news came out that Guru's family was being denied access to him, etc.  Hopefully playing some Gang Starr joints and talking about Gang Starr can send some positive energy out there.  Enjoy!

People talking to Nasa lately...

Nasa has done two interviews in the last 2 weeks.  In case you missed them, he talks a lot about his foundations in music, what inspired him to start Uncommon Records and about surviving in today's technology driven era of Music and Hip-Hop in both of them.

The first was on Ant Farm Affiliates' Website as part of their "Conversations with Tha Cataclysm" series.  It focused on Nasa's mixing and producing career mainly, but got into other things as well.  It also came with a video of Nasa showing off the "Illustrious" Nasa Labs studio, which you can see below.

The second interview Nasa did was with Subtitle on his new blog.  This interview focused on the pioneering NYC Indie scene that Nasa was a part of, the evolution and de-evolution of it and it's resurgence.  It also talks heavily about Uncommon Records in the here and now.  It has been called a "must-read" by many, check it out.
