Human Beings: God's Technology
Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 1:18AM So in my many many boring hours that I spend at work I sometimes find myself analyzing people and my surroundings. The other day I was just people watching and was just breaking down the differences between individuals. It got to the point where I started breaking people down like technology and how some people are just cut from different parts.
Take myself for instance, I have a mild case of cerebral palsy so my reaction time physically is slowed down at times. The left side of my body is slower than the right, but I found that my mental reaction is faster than a lot of peoples. Like I can read backwards and upside down, I have a ridiculous memory, but am I ever going to be a professional athlete? No, but I bet you none of those cats can out rap me. And speaking of athletes, what DNA strand are some of these guys built from? Like Dwight Howard, Brock Lesnar or someone like Brian Urlacher? I've had the chance to meet Brian on several occasions and he is as big as he looks on t.v. As much as we talk shit about what these guys do, there isn't many of us who posses the speed, strength or hand eye coordination these guys do. Its crazy to me that they have the reaction time that they do to the point it became subconscious.
What about someone like Stephen Hawking? Whether you agree with his theories or not, its amazing that he was able to put together his point of view and have evidence to back his argument. It's fascinating to me that not everyone excels or that every person doesn't have the capacity to change society or history for that matter. Its astounding to me that as long as humans have been around, we are just starting to figure out what makes us tick. I have people tell me that they find it amazing that I can do what I do music wise and even I think about sometimes and find it amazing. I know different things and situations influence our paths but that in it self is amazing because I can tell the exact moment that I got into hip hop and wanted to rap. Just like any artist, musician, architect or what have you can tell you when they got into what makes them what they are.
Let's be real here, some people are better than others, we're all adults, some people just got put on the reject ladder on the evolutionary ladder. All of us have come across those people who unmotivated, have no capacity for change, like they got lost somewhere. I think we are all programmed for greatness, its just up to the individual to go get it. I mean look at how far our society as come technology wise with advances on cancer research, high definition t.v. or for better or worse nuclear weapons. Like I used to know this autistic kid in high school he could paint the most creative things by you just telling him what you wanted to see. I could go on forever on how I see the world at certain points but for a little while I was able to step back and reflect on myself and realize that I am extremely lucky that my condition wasn't worse and I was able to make a difference somehow. But at end of the day we are all toys in Gods playground, why do you think someone is always trying to build the tallest building or the fastest car? We are just trying to get a little piece of heaven.
